Our client is looking to hire an experienced Residential Cook. The main roles will be preparing meals for our client, ensure the kitchen is stocked up will the necessary supplies and cleanliness maintained. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for our client including planning menus and shopping for food items.
- Respect the essential hygiene regulations and maintain exemplary conditions of hygiene in the kitchen and all the compound areas.
- Keep the kitchen ordered.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of a home
- Organizing and maintaining the household inventory of linens, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, and other supplies
- Clear, clean, and put away dishes after each meal.
- Ability to adapt to different dietary requirements. Must have knowledge of modern cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Secondary job function is housekeeping and general cleaning of the residence.
- Ensuring the residence remains in good working order, reporting faults and maintenance issues regularly.
- Any other responsibility as assigned by our client.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in hospitality or related course
- At least four years' work experience in professional kitchen as a cook
- Experience working as a residential cook will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Previous work experience in an international standard hotel/lodge, diplomatic residence or equivalent.
- Understanding of local/seasonal ingredients
- Experience in Housekeeping and/or Food and Beverage service.
