We are seeking an experienced and efficient site engineer for one of our clients in the construction industry based in Liberia to oversee the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Supervise and monitor site activities in alignment with project plans.
- Plan and oversee allocating resources, materials and equipment to optimize project efficiency.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with specifications and standards.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Enforce health and safety regulations on-site.
- Resolve technical issues and optimize site processes.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise to resolve construction-related challenges.
- Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and adhere to budget constraints.
- Maintain detailed documentation and report progress.
- Reporting project updates, milestones and potential risks to the project manager and key stakeholders.
- Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, survey reports and other technical documentation to guide the construction process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience as a site engineer, civil engineer or an equivalent role.
- Relevant engineering certifications, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD and other software.
- Ability to manage multiple construction projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
- Competent in assessing, interpreting and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with effective communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
